Pirates Sweep Weekend 6/21/09

John Holt pitched a fine game against Menomonie on Saturday as the Pirates defeated the Eagles from Menomonie 10-0.  Many Pirates hitters continued to swing the bat well as five players had multiple hits led by Chris Terrazas with three.  Mike Labarbera also picked up another win in a rain soaked affair on Sunday.  In between a couple of rain delays the Pirate bats were able to push across enough runs in tough conditions to give Osceola their first loss in conference play.  Nick Johnson came in 7th to pick up the save. Word on the streets has it that Johnson, after managing the Pirates to a 4-0 record, has taken over full time duties.  "If he is going to DH all season long he might as well manage" says an outspoken Brady Randolph.
