Pirates Play Sluggish, Lose to Hastings The Pirates didn't play with their usual intensity as the lost 7-0 to rival Hastings. Eric Tobias started the game but didn't get much help in the field as the Pirates committed 3 early errors to put Tobias behind the 8 ball. The bats were pretty much silent and it seemed like the balls that were hit hard, they caught, but, that is baseball.
